Nadia Roldan is a visual artist and art educator whose work celebrates imagination, kindness, and the quiet power of creativity. With an MFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University (San Francisco, 2021), she weaves together storytelling and design through both traditional and digital mediums — from whimsical children’s illustrations to expressive surface patterns. Nadia’s artistic journey began in the classroom, where her love for teaching and creative exploration inspired her to make art that connects deeply with others. While developing a project for her students, she discovered the joy of crafting sock dolls — a playful spark that evolved into her beloved series, The Mizzle Adventures.
Through her art, the Mizzles and their friends explore themes of friendship, imagination, and emotional growth, inviting viewers to reconnect with their own sense of wonder. Nadia holds a B.A. in Art Education and a Clear Single Subject Credential in Art from California State University, Long Beach, an
M.E. in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts from Lesley University, and an MFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University. She continues to teach, create, and share her world of kindness, fantasy, and storytelling through her artwork and educational practice.
